As medias in Serbia reported, the first Serbian unmanned aerial vehicles will be passing through the last series of tests at Military technical Institute. Aside from military purposes, "Sparrow" will be used for civilian purposes, such as ground reconnaissance during floods and fires and control traffic. "Sparrow" is the first Serbian mini unmanned aerial vehicles. The end of the flight tests should see simulations replaced with practice. "Sparrow is designed to survey the ground for the Serbian army’s needs. It can also be used to survey forest, fire, traffic control and part of the border. So it has a civic purpose," explains Zijah Burzić, Military Technical Institute. System, "Sparrow" will consist of three spacecraft and ground stations. In addition to cameras, "Sparrow" brings the summer computer, in which experts are especially proud of VTI. The ground station in real time read the data sent by "Sparrow" . Unmanned aerial vehicles can stay in the air for over an hour, for up to 500 meters, and exceeding the distance up to 12 kilometers. Weighs about 6 pounds. No one can remember who was the “best man”, who gave the aircraft name Sparrow. Serbian Army two years ago started the use of unmanned aircraft purchase several Israeli aircraft type "orbiter."
